![]() ![]() The Astros are the team that everyone loves to hate despite the fact that almost all of the major players from the scandal year are now plying their trade elsewhere. ![]() This is a team that has seen some recent playoff success, but much of that has been blighted by the controversies around allegations of cheating. They will continue to follow the same business model, but will the final result change? Only time will tell. For a team that spends as much money as the Dodgers do to acquire talent, you would expect them to be a dynasty type team, but they are proof that having money to spend does not mean that championships will follow. The Dodgers have made a habit of winning the NL West in an absolute canter, but they have not really parlayed that success into championships. I don’t expect to see the Braves move out of their favorite spot between now and the start of the new season. They won’t need to make too many offseason moves other than a few tweaks to fill some perceived holes. As disappointing as that result was, this is a team that is still stacked from top to bottom. It all came undone for them rather quickly, though, falling at the first hurdle to the Washington Nationals.
